September 19 COMMUNITY FRESH! >>>Thursday 14th Sep 06<<<WhErE? EvErYwHeRe!!
WhO SpOkE? MuRpHy!!
Today was something minorly different, but majorly special! Instead of always bringing peeps to FRESH, we decided to bring FRESH to peeps, which should always be a significant perspective of Christian ministry..
Once Murphy gave a short but powerful message about service, everyone was pumped and excited to go and CLEAN OUR SCHOOL! Ranging from: cleaning rooms, picking up rubbish, polishing shoes, massaging students, making friendly chat, and cleaning MR. Evans car, FRESH certainly took a stand in the school that will be sure to see some impact in the days, weeks, and months to come. Remember: what you sow you shall reap! September 13 The Potter's Hands! 7-9-06MPC was the 'where'
Brooke was the 'who'
102 was the 'how... many'
The main activity for FRESH today was the massive volleyball game! Firing left right and centre, ppl from all ages, nationalities, walks of life, cultures, and backgrounds joined in to make the game truly a national event..
As can be seen from the title, Brooke brought a unique word about the Bible analogy- us as the clay and God as the Potter! AMEN Year 11 STUTAK (STUDENT TAKEOVER)... 31 AuGuStWhere: MPC!
Preachers: Renee Miller & Stoney!
Number: 130!
Once again, those fine-lookin good-cookin show-stopping beat-bopping year 11's stepped up to own the FRESH ministry! A lot of expectation was placed on the shoulders of the young lads with all the 'word of mouth' happening around the school. The posters finished the job off...
With Pitt-a-way the MC and Max Carpo firing up the worship, I personally loved every moment of the gathering! But I tell you what- nothing compares to the FREE lollybags at the door :) mmm I still can taste them! D-ROOM SPECTACULAR 24/7/06Where? D-rooms
Preacher? Chris Eagles of Year 12
Number? 110
Meeting up in the D-rooms for the first time this term, Max led an amazing session of acoustic worship. The 'Might to save' song summed it up completely- a passionate song about our God who 'rose and conquered the grave!!!'
Eagles brought a challenging Word, with instrumental satire and humour... 'Go and leave your life of sin'
Hallelujah August 17 17/August/2006= two GUN year 10sWhere??? MPC
Preachers??? Lauren M. & Matt F. (YEAR 10!)
Number??? 107
FRESH had certainly caught the fever that the rugby victory had brought the day before. Leading up to it saw some amazingly creative posters by our school captain, DAVID Tunnicliffe!
Seeing a good number of people fill the hall, people separated themselves into groups of 4, having to act out situations such as 'monkeys' 'photo-shoot' 'rock-a-bye baby' 'driving' and 'shoot-out'. It was a crazy, insane, and intense game that Im sure will be seen in the many years to come of FRESH!
Dancing to Aqua (old school baby) music, Pittaway stole the show with some amazing MCing from the maestro. Lauren and Matt, two future leaders of their generation, brought encouraging words from behind the mic, sharing with us the Fruits of the Spirit, and exclaiming that we must read listen and live out the Word of God!
An encouraging, and all-round awesome FRESH. Get ready for Eagles next week, who is dubbing it 'FRESH 150'!!! July 28 PAUL HO- need I say more?... Thurs-27-JulyWhere? MPC
Preacher? Paul Ho (of year 12!)
Number? 90
While FRESH had not been back together for quite sometime, I can assure you that God's presence had certainly not left the building! His presence was amazing throughout the entire lunchtime!
Chris managed to get a game of futsal going and it wasnt long before at least 50 boys had joined in! Unfortunately many of these young scallywags were confused with the different sets of rules between rugby and soccer!
Paul Ho has an amazing gift of speaking. Using a powerpoint presentation to lead him through the talk, he explained Jesus' love for us in an amazingly passionate and touching way. The encouragement cards he received would certainly back up this claim. Thankyou Paul for your amazing heart that is an inspiration to us all!
EXO DAY NEXT WEEK SO GET PUMPED! HAVE YOU MISSED YOUR CROSS??? 29/6/06Yo yo yo
Whats happen ya'll freshies??? Well today was CRACKIN! Two days before the end of semester 1, nobody wanted to miss out on the second FUSE this year!!
Middle schoolers, Senior schoolers, and even some sneaky Junior schoolers all made there way up to the gates of the MPC. We started the show with a game of 'fuse-ball' (more commonly known as dodge-ball). We jumped, we danced, we sang, and we pegged balls at each other! Dividing the hall up into 4 houses, only a few people were able to manage falcons, but it was a great game that worked well!
Lawson brought a powerful Word that impacted a good 90 people. Comparing the infamous Barrabas with the students, he showed how we too have missed our cross because of what Jesus has done for us Hallelujah!
Signin out June 22 22/6/06- Did somebody say random??![]() Well today at FRESH we saw the amazing LEE JOWONO up for his first time preaching! And let me tell you something- every message that involves Zelda is a great one.. hehe
Today we visited the D-rooms and had a hang-out time. There was some great 'so FRESH' music, a bit of soccer, the sandlot kids, hand massaging, poker (at Fresh?
Thanks to all those who got involved and really made FRESH... fresh Thurs 15 June 06- WORLD CUP THEME!![]() Where: MPC
Number: 120
Speaker: Meagan! (Year 11)
After the split, it was gr8 for every1 to be back together this week! The boys played a mini world cup game of football (soccer) between the year groups. The year 12's scored a golden goal in the dying minutes after a 'Hand-of-God' incident by Eagleboy.. After the GOAL Eagles ran off into the sound room lol I was told later he was too embarrassed to receive any glory from the goal...
Thanks to the girls who provided money for the soft-drink. Unfortunately the hot chocs didnt work out but nothing was missed out on! (Just save some for me next time)
Lawson and Brett ran the show over the mic, with Cam creating, thinking, designing, editing, printing, and sticking up some amazing posters! June 08 SPECIAL EVENT! GgIuRyL S-P-L-I-T!!! Thurs 8 June 06WhErE? Ladies (MPC), Gents (D-Rooms) NuMbEr? Ladies (67), Gents (85) =152! Last year fuse (senior and middle school) saw 200, this year we saw 220/180 (150 during Lawson's short message) over 2 weeks at the Best of Fresh. I think it's safe to say that today, we have broken the record for a thursday FRESH with the Word preached!!! SpEaKeRs? Ladies (Joel Bennett- Guest!), Gents (Vasity Melany- Guest!)
CHICKS GIRLS fresh was pretty amazing today. We pumped it up all week...the year eleven girls pitched in soo much with posters n making food n stuff (chloe is the baking QUEEN!) it was awesome. So much food was brought in today it was so great...kik an lycey were bakin it up last night (plus they bought stuff)...chloe was cookin up her usual storm an megs made a food platter..that NOT ONLY tasted great but looked pretty hot! seriously thankyou so much to all the girls that brought in food! So we set up the overflowing food table...and the FIGHT corner but unfortunately the plans for an aerobic video fell through...BUT it was all good coz chloe, tal, mikaela n megs saved the day an did aerobics on stage. At first everyone was a little busy eating...but then we got them all involved n it was great! the fight corner was a little desolate at first...but curiousity grew and before long girls were runnin into each other like there was no tomorrow. the year 9 girls in particular had some nasty...but pretty funny falls. THEN there was our incredible guest speaker Joel Bennett... he full brought something different to girls fresh and really pumped us up to be women of our word...that who we say we are is who we are. He compared it with the story of Jacob an Esau.. it was pretty great! the girls sat an listened marvelously. So yeah...girls fresh pretty much (yep thats right kik, pretty much) kicked butt. Fighting, dacking, mouth stuffing, aerobic doing flippin amazing girls.
BLOKES With the girls taxing the hall, us boys made our way down to the D-rooms.. and the D-rooms will never be the same again.
We decided to bring down the PE mats and quickly filled up the rooms with em.. Thankfully yes, these mats are safe
Dave Tunni MC'd in our amazing Guest speaker Vasity Melany. Using Judges 6, she explained how we can be mighty men of Valour. What an awesome and inspiring message of how God can use the smallest man in a nation to change the course of history.
Thanks to all involved- for the leaders bringing in food and organising, for the sound boys and their tireless efforts, and to all who simply showed up for some fun and fellowship!
An amaxing and successful SPECIAL EVENT! June 02 June 01/06- Soccer/excursions/tafe... I mean FRESH !!!Fresh today was not without its hitches but overall was awesome, the various activities around the place were enjoyed by all. 85 students in all heard Jayne bring the word! Girl-life was rockin'- thankyou to Lauren and Kirrily who did an excellent job, while the scheduled penalty shootout was disrupted by a middle school PE class who decided (in their wisdom and nearly leading to Stefen's heart attack) to take our soft mats for some lunchtime highjump. However the goals were definitely put to good use! Thankyou also to our favourite Dj, Cameron who set up some pumping music. Jaynes message of choosing God's way even if it seems the more difficult was an encouragement for all (and thanks to Matt Dent & Greg, we were able to get a microphone to her halfway through). Despite a few stressy incidents, Murphy killed as MC and proved yet again that he is more than a pretty face. 85 is an exciting number of students with a no year 11(Driving excursion), and a year 10 tafe day plus on top of that a seniors soccer day which led to the absence of inspirational Pastor Benny Lawson (not to be confused with Benny Hinn). Lets all be excited about what God is doing in our school remembering that 'He who began a good work in you will carry it on to the day of completion in Christ Jesus' Philippians 1:6 Lets all be getting to prayer meetings Wednesday morning 8am behind the hall up the top of the stairs, as it is the catalyst for our ministries. S P E A K E R- M U R R A Y ! (Dural Bap. Youth Pastor)
Well today I must exclaim that we really did look like a professional youth ministry! There were TWO ping-pong tables (4 da chicks/bros), and an 8-SCREEN-X-BOX-HANG-OUT behind the stage !!!
Thanks to our guest speaker, Mr Murray, for just a real convicting, powerful, and challenging message! The Word of God will never return empty or void!
Using stolen items from the artrooms, Elyce Sullivan designed and created a fabulous banna! She also
was security and protected us from those criminals
who were planning on attacking the hall :) Thanx
Elyce!
Arash thought the 'recess ran' meant that he
literally had to run all of recess, and MC Chloe was
stunning (I mean her words
A quick thought: Spiritual growth in people brings physical growth in the ministry, while physical growth in the ministry is a visual proof of the spiritual growth in people...

Preacher: The Young Clayton Waters (Year 11)
Hey Freshies! Well today Clayton stepped up to the plate and did a fantastic job! It's just so awesome to see these younger guys getting up and running with the Word of God- love it!
With Arash as MC, and PJ closing 4 prayer, the show went off without a hitch. Max and co. (lol da band) were amazing with an oldy and a newy

Signing off... May 11 Thursday 11 May - Open Mic FRESHNumber: 85
Where: MPC
Speaker: Open to Freshies
Well G'day to anyone and everyone actually reading this. Today was the first actual FRESH for Term 2 and what an amazing start to the term!
The theme was a Cowboy/Western one and contained the most hilarious moments of the year. PJ's dancing, and rope tying were ummm memorable. Lol we tried to play a game of tug-of-war and Macca's old povo rope split into two, with both teams flying sdrawkcab.. hehe figure that one out!!!
Unfortunately Wilson was sick and so the Western act was cancelled, however Lawson tried to lead the "congregation"in a dance (emphasis on the word 'tried!')..! :) Special mention goes to the welcoming girls, Kik, Claire, Elyce, who actually went and bought some pretty much unnoticed hay, and fed the masses with beef jerky! ha ha ha.. Thanks also to Brett and Jew who did awesome things in setting up the hall, and Cam for his "music" *cough* lol. Thanks also to the mic boys- you guys are champs.
The Word of God was so powerful today. People preaching about: reaping what you sow, hoping in the LORD, being grateful for the Pacific Hills ministry, and a prayer to wrap it all up.
Thanx to ALL involved! Be expectant 4 gr8 things this week!
Thursday 4 May- LEADERS VISION MEETINGWell what an amazing way to start TERM 2 for the ministry @ Pacific Hills Christian School. Lets not get complacent year 12's- not long to go now. Lets 'fight the good fight, finish the race, and remain faithful this year!'
So today, we basically had the schools captains and vice-captains preaching (and boy did they) on the steps at the back of the hall. Heres what they spoke about:
Jayno- recognising Satan in this world
Murphy- encouraging others
Shuvs- service
DAVID- Leadership, salvation in year groups
Lets all take to heart what was said, and really remember the vision our captains have for the school! Thursday 13/4/06- YeAr 11 TaKeOvErAwesome awesome awesome!!! The only three words I can use to describe the first 2006 takeover by our own year 11's.
FRESH went off without a hitch. The worship was banging, the eggs were falling (literally!), the preacher was preaching, and the people who showed up were having an unbelievable time!
A few praise songs started the show, with about 95 % of the band from year 11- these guys are gonna absolutely KILL it next year! Sammy and Big Max C were leading the songs- good job guys *two thumbs up*
But FRESH is only fresh without the Word of God, and can I just say Chloe- God has great things planned for you young woman. She was absolutely on fire, giving relevant, practical, and significant ideas of how to apply the armour of God (Ephesians 6) to our lives!!
Thank you year 11s, those in front of the scenes, but more importantly those behind- 11 out of 11!...
Next year, you guys are going to take our ministry to the next LEVEL!
KEEP SHINING OUR SCHOOL COLOURS !!! March 30 HANNAH LOGAN - Thursday 30 MarchNumber... 120
Where... MPC
Speaker... HaNnAh LoGaN OuR SpEcIaL gUeSt SpEaKeR !!!
Could we have had a better guest speaker today?? Hannah Logan, an ex Pacific Hillian shared a very powerful testimony. Interviewed with some tough, tricky questions by Beccie Young, Hannah told us how she used to swear to herself when ppl would come up and ask her to come to the FRESH ministry. How amazing is it that, only a year later, she was speaking to us at FRESH!
You could tell Hannah is a person full of the fruit of the Spirit. She was always smiling
Unfortunately I'm writing this about two months later so I cant really recall the exact happenings at FRESH lol
Just a big thanks to Bec and Hannah for making it happen. I know Han's testimony is going to impact so many lives!

Paul K and PJ killed security, literally
Gotta love those sound boys
Jew and Lauren 'welcomed people'... good job, but why is Lauren always angry? :)
